France! Day 2 Pump Track

The Miami crew had an agenda to attend to besides the grape harvest in Beaujolais—the Pump Track which was not all that far from our friends Michel and Nathalie in Meylan. In fact, theirs was the closest residential community besides tiny villages of Chartreuse. First order of the day—after breakfast on the terrace—was to get pumping! After the rigors of pump track, the boys all jumped into the nearby glacial stream for a refreshing and frigid dip. On the way home we enjoyed a drink and a delicious fruit tart in the charming village of St Hugues of Chartreuse, where John and I stopped in the church to see an art exhibit of contemporary religious art by local artist Arcabas. We avoided fisticuffs with a crazy man at Cafe des Alpes in Corenc who wanted to push us off the mountain—no pictures of that thankfully. We made it home in time for Al to make his conference call which he took while we swam in the pool.
