St. Lager, via Lyon

After a stop to visit Michel’s father, Jean Fraisse, outside Lyon, we drove to St. Lager the next day, next to the mountain in Brouilly with the chapel on the top. Nathalie’s mom, Denise Longefay and her dad, Raymond Longefay, live in a new house with a glorious view of the vineyard that they used to tend, a panoramic vista that includes Mont Blanc in the distance. We were staying for the night and had a big dinner after the guys walked in the vineyard. Aleks and Herve Longefay, Nathalie’s brother and Polish sister-in-law joined us, along with their charming 22 year old daughter Mattie. The good life in Beaujolais!
